A few words about L’Oreal Foundation

The L’Oreal-UNESCO for Women in Science fellowship was established in 1998 and aims at supporting women under-represented in the science field. This fellowship has supported more than 2,700 female scientists, and (in collaboration with its subsidiaries) has awarded more than 250 fellows in doctoral/post-doctoral studies from 115 countries. The foundation's goal is to help vulnerable people rebuild their lives by providing care in terms of beauty and wellness. The L’Oreal Foundation also improves employment opportunities for people in more than 25 countries through training in various beauty professions.

THE CONTEXT

What the Company was looking for

A software that helps the L'Oreal foundation to communicate in an efficient way. They were also looking for a way to overview all their projects and save time.

All of L’Oréal’s requests are collected through a single entry point. A tailor-made online form is embedded in their website, and requests received by email will be transferred to the Optimy tool via dropbox to centralize requests..
L’Oréal pre-defines criteria to filter incoming requests depending on their theme (beauty or science). Selection criteria can be modified anytime with Optimy’s tool by choosing answers in forms that exclude or automatically accept the project.
The L’Oréal Foundation needed helps to optimize their grant-making facilities through the entire project lifecycle, from the application process to completion and reporting.

How Optimy helped

Optimy’s tool automatically sends an answer 48 hours before the project start date explaining why it has been rejected. L’Oréal has the ability to modify the email’s content before sending it by default.

Each project’s timeline can be viewed on one dashboard with Optimy’s solution. L’Oréal will see all the projects that contain their solution and will sort their projects by theme, status, and date.

Optimy’s tool allows L’Oréal to summarise projects on one page and view key information easier: originality, social aspect, long-term goals, project assessment and L’Oréal’s employee involvement.

With Optimy, employees at L’Oréal can exchange emails with the project owner; the history of these conversations can also be seen on the project record. L’Oréal can send personalized messages to the Board at each step of the process for each project.

L’Oréal can now generate tailor-made and up-to-date reports with Optimy that includes the number of incoming requests, number of requests accepted, and number of requests by theme, etc.
