African American businesswomen are giving back

Members of the Marsala Giving Circle have been commemorating Black Philanthropy Month in August. It was found through the Community Foundation of Sarasota County in 2013. It joined a growing group of black Philanthropic organisations across the globe.
The mission of the group is to promote economic and personal empowerment through financial support for programs and initiatives that benefit African American communities in Sarasota and Manatee counties.

Teen’s philanthropy idea became a reality

Teen’s philanthropic idea became a reality after it was funded by the Fremont Area Community Foundation.
Elena Wright visited Lincoln and whilst there, she visited Foodnet, a nonprofit organisation designed to help feed the hungry and stop food waste. She thought it was a good idea but there was nothing she could do.
In 2015, Elena completed an application, created a budget and a video pitch for her proposed project called “The Table.” She was granted $1000 by FACF.

The purpose of the nonprofit is to raise money from people and foundations to support its journalism. It has raised $1 million last year after being quietly founded.
Global evp of philanthropic and strategic partnerships and president of, Rachel White said, “the creation of the nonprofit will make it easier to raise money from big foundations and smaller ones that only make contributions to tax-exempt organisations.”

Dancing with the Martin Stars to help healthy babies

Licensed partner of Engel & Völkers Stuart took part in the exclusive charity fundraiser, Dancing with the Martin Stars.
The idea was inspired by the hit TV show. The show will take place on the 23rd September at the Lyric Theatre where Stuart represents the culmination of weeks of training where local celebrities such as Gonzalez face challenges: Working with professional dance instructors to finetune their moves and raising funds to support Martin County Healthy Start Coalition.
Dancing with the Martin Stars has raised more than $600,000, supporting healthy programs to support Momcare, Beds4Babies, and Baby Basics.

Sustainable development goals are an opportunity of the private sector

Achieving the Global Goals could open up an estimated US$12 trillion in market opportunities as the goals represent around 60% of the real economy.
The Better Business Better World report by the Business & Sustainable Development Commission said that there are opportunities in four economic systems: food and agriculture cities, energy and materials, and health and well-being.
